Nintendo will make it possible to discover or rediscover the origins of the legendary sword with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, an improved version of the Wii game of 2011.
The opus offering the story the oldest in the chronology of the license The Legend of Zelda returns this summer on Nintendo Switch with improved graphics and better fluidity. This improved version of Skyward Sword will also have two types of controls, the one by movements via the Joy-Con or the one by buttons via a controller Nintendo Switch Pro. With the first, the goal is to recreate the gameplay experience designed for the Wiimote controller and the Wii Motion Plus accessory with the motion detection of the Joy-Con to control Link’s arsenal: “ Shake the Joy -Con right so that he performs the same movement with his sword and use the left Joy-Con to make him raise his shield and block enemy attacks. Many other actions, such as archery or throwing bombs, also use motion controls to make the immersion complete. ”

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be released on July 16 for Nintendo Switch. Two exclusive Joy-Con controllers will also be available on the same date to please fans around the world. The right Joy-Con bears the colors of the Legendary Sword while the left Joy-Con showcases Hylia’s shield.
