Logitech signs the end date for its Harmony universal remotes

Logitech just announced the end of the Harmony universal remotes. Not a real surprise for the users, but a shock all the same.

In living rooms, there are quite often a number of electronic devices revolving around the television. A home- cinema system, one or more consoles, a set-top box, not to mention any CD / DVD / Blu-ray players. To control all this, the classics and many remote controls. According to the statement in question: “We have received many questions from our community regarding the future of Harmony and so here is an official update. Although Harmony remotes continue to be available from various retailers, Logitech will no longer manufacture Harmony remotes. ”

The brand specifies, however, that if production is effectively stopped from this day, the existing models will still be maintained. For those who would like to get their hands on a Harmony remote, it is still possible as long as resellers have stocks. In other words, you will have to act quickly, especially if you are looking for a particular model.
