Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier and Ever Crisis, two mobile exclusives to extend the lore of the license

The Japanese publisher Square Enix announces the arrival of two new free-to-play games with integrated purchases on smartphones belonging to the universe of Final Fantasy 7.

With [19459005 ] Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier , the teams of Square Enix will try their hand at the Battle Royale genre with gameplay focusing on magic and shooting weapons. Taking place some 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy 7, players will take on the role of a candidate from the elite SOLDIER battle group of the Shinra Electric Power Company. They are super warriors with superhuman strength, speed, agility and cognitive abilities like Zack Fair, Cloud Strife, Angeal Hewley or Sephiroth.

Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis will be a solo experience bringing together the entire FF7 timeline, including the events of the original game and all the compilations of its universe (Advent Children, Before Crisis , Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus). Kazushige Nojima, writer of FF7 Remake, oversaw the project and handled new narrative elements related to the origins of the group SOLDAT. Like Final Fantasy 15: Pocket Edition, the characters will adopt the chibi style, while offering a mix between exploration and modern combat. New information on both titles will be announced later.
