Apple is constantly working to improve its products, including, of course, its MacBooks. And there could be something new when it comes to keyboards.
Apple is constantly improving its products. The MacBooks are obviously not left out. Recently, the Cupertino company had tried a new keyboard design , the results were mixed. This does not prevent the Apple brand from wanting to go further, further in the customization of the keyboard in particular. A patent describes a keyboard with keys each having their own screen.

So it looks like Apple is still trying to reinvent the keyboard. The Cupertino company tried to design a new mechanism with its butterfly switches but it turned out that this solution caused more problems than it solved. That being said, this failure does not mean the end of thinking on the subject on the part of the Apple brand.
For foolproof adaptability
If we are to believe a patent recently granted to Apple and discovered by Patently Apple, it seems that the American giant is exploring the idea of a keyboard with adaptive screens on each key. This means that each key would have its own screen and could therefore display different things depending on the situation, the software in use, etc.
For example, if you are watching a movie, the keyboard might change the display of its keys to show you icons for controlling playback and volume. It could also be very useful if you are using applications like Photoshop, Premiere and others, where the keys are often adapted for shortcuts and some special features.
That being said, this is a very ambitious idea. Particular care will have to be taken with copying to convince users to use something so different from the standards in place. At this time, it’s impossible to know if Apple intends to make this keyboard a reality, but who knows, maybe we will soon be entitled to such a keyboard on MacBooks soon. To be continued !
